TRUCHAN, GEORGE P. SR

A funeral mass was celebrated June 13 at St. Francis R.C. Church in Hoboken for George P. Truchan, Sr., 76. He passed away suddenly at home on June 10. George was a resident of Hoboken for the past 25 years, prior to that he lived in Jersey City. George was an employee in the security division of Hoboken Applied Housing. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Hoboken Elks Lodge 74. He leaves behind his 25 year companion Lena (Settembre-Reilly); two sons, Thomas and his wife Allison and George Truchan Jr. and his wife Lisa; and Bart Reilly and his wife Maria; and a host of special grandchildren: Thomas Truchan Jr., Alexis, Lauren and Lyndsay Truchan, Jennifer Reilly, Melissa LoPena and her husband Anthony, Matthew Casazza, and Hoboken Fire Fighter Michael Casazza and his wife Vera. He was adored by little Max, Faith, and Michael. Also surviving is a brother, Anthony Truchan Sr. and George’s former wife Maria Lipp. He was predeceased by a brother Raymond, Florence Reilly Casazza, and Charles ‘Junior’ Casazza. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
