KELLEY, ROOSEVELT DOUG E. FRESH

A funeral service took place June 14 at the Universal Full Gospel Church of God, Jersey City, for Roosevelt Doug E. Fresh Kelley. He was born to Roosevelt Terry and Ruby Lee Outlaw in Jersey City. He passed away June 7 in Newark. Roosevelt was educated in the Jersey City Public School system. He was employed by New Jersey Transit for many years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Universal Full Gospel Church of God in his hometown. Surviving to cherish his memory are his sons, Roosevelt Kool and Christopher Kelley; a daughter Miriam Kelley and stepdaughter Jasman Bouier and stepson Tyshawn B. Bouier; brothers, Eugene and Booker T. Terry; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; former wife, Queenie Kelley; nieces, Theresa Kelley Jenkins and Tameka Kelley and 8 other nieces and 15 nephews and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; companion Monique Reid; 5 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends. Roosevelt was predeceased by his parents; son Cheyrone; brothers, Melvin, Eddie, Tyrone, Arthur, Robert, and Steven; sister Diane, and long time companion Tawana. Services arranged by the Jackson Funeral Residence, Jersey City.
