HUDSON COUNTY — Bayonne Mayor Mark Smith was unopposed at the reorganization of the Hudson County Democratic Organization this week, which re-elected him to another year as chairman.
Nearly all of the power players gathered at the Oresko School in Bayonne for the annual reorganization meeting, including Hudson County Freeholder Chairman Bill O’Dea and State Sen. Sandra Cunningham.
The unanamous vote for Smith included a letter of congratulations from Jeff Dublin, newly elected chairman of the Jersey City Municipal Democratic Committee, who could not attend.
Smith will retain the seat until the next reoganization meeting following the June 2013 primary.
