Dear Editor:
The topic I want to discuss is the upcoming mayoral election. I live in low income housing because I am permanently disabled and I thought we live in America where freedom is free and no one can threaten or take away my housing because it is federal funding and no one can say different. A couple of months ago, back in December , when I heard that this pain management doctor wanted to run for mayor I was very happy that there would be new blood running the Town of West New York and the old blood would have to leave. I think Dr. Felix Roque would make a great mayor of West New York because I have had a lot of telephone conversations with him about a lot of different topics and this man will be a great asset to the Town of West New York.
Like I have said, I live in the Kennedy Towers in West New York. I placed a Dr. Felix Roque on my apartment door because others in my senior building had Vega and Obama on their doors. Housing said you can’t put anything to do with politics on your door. Right there, I thought my rights were being taken away.
I am 100 percent American citizen and I think it is very wrong to threaten people for a vote. I really think that this new person that is running for mayor will make a great difference for the Town of West New York.
