SECAUCUS — The results are in for the Secaucus school board election. The winners are: Lisa Snedeker, 1443; Dora Marra, 1069; Joseph Lewis, 1063.
For the first time in at least seven years, the school budget was defeated. The count was 1,219 no votes to 756 yes votes.
The defeat of incumbent Eleanor Reinl and the budget are surprises. Reinl has been on the board for more than 30 years.
