Dear Editor:
As my infant grows, I continue to pay closer attention to the impressive improvements going on in our local school district. I’ve been a supporter of the Kids First team, and I’m truly grateful for all the hard work and no-nonsense attitude they’ve been taking toward tightening spending while improving curriculum and student resources, These are people who truly do place the “kids first,” and I look forward to sending my son to Hoboken’s public schools when he is old enough.
To help ensure the improvements continue, I’m supporting their current slate of candidates to further the progress. Incumbent Jean Marie Mitchell has done a great job in her year on the board, and her running mates, Steven Feinstein and Clifford Godfrey, being a lot of skill, value and passion to the team and would be great assets to have on the board.
Please join me in voting for Jean Marie Mitchell, Clifford Godfrey and Steven Feinstein (positions 3-4-5) on April 27 for continued progress on reducing spending and eliminating waste while strengthening school performance.
