Funeral services were held April 5 for Wilbur “Babe/Whitey” Coughlin, 86. He passed away at home on April 1. He was a lifelong Jersey City resident. Coughlin was a Supervisor of Meter Readers with Jersey City Water Department for 44 years before retiring in July 1993. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the 754th Tank Battalion in the Philippines. Surviving are his wife, Naomi (DeHart); and a son, Kevin, and his wife Diana.
