Missing Staten Island dog winds up in Guttenberg

HUDSON COUNTY — Did the pooch take the Bayonne Bridge? Who knows? According to The Record of Hackensack, a Staten Island boxer named Roxy leapt over the fence of her home in Staten Island during the Dec. 26 blizzard and disappeared for two months.
She was eventually rescued on JFK Boulevard by a woman who saw her almost get hit by a car. She was brought to the Guttenberg Police Department, where kind officer Richard Andersen brought him to the Oradell Animal Hospital to see if he was microchipped.
She was. The dog was reunited with her owner.
