JERSEY CITY — Friday, March 25, legendary bassist Bootsy Collins will donate a brand new electric bass guitar to Franklin Williams Middle School at 222 Laidlaw Street in Jersey City. It’s all part of the Little Kids Rock program, a nonprofit provider of free musical instruments to U.S. public schools. March is Music in Our Schools Month, and the visit comes at a time when budget cuts could threaten music education. Collins will be at the school from 11:15 a.m.until noon.
