A funeral mass was held March 12 at St. Joseph’s of the Palisades Church, West New York, for Pascual G. Rodriguez, 81. He passed away March 10 at the Monmouth Medical Center, after a long battle with cancer. Originally from Cuba, he became a U.S. citizen in 1964. He was president of the Lions Club, president of the Hispanic Mercantile Federation, member of the Christ Hospital Board of Trustees, and Parking Authority Commissioner. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bertha Rodriguez; son Pascual, daughter, Maria Roche, daughter Bertica Martens; six grandchildren, Raquel, Sandra, Diana, Kristina, Gabriel and David; and two great-grandchildren, Elena and Justin.
