Please allow me to take this opportunity to offer my gratitude to the numerous residents who serve on various municipal boards in Union City. I both recognize and truly appreciate the countless hours these board members invest on behalf of our community.
Also, I would like to invite other residents of Union City to become involved if they wish to sit on a board. We are fortunate to be able to offer many opportunities through service on the following: Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Library Board, Rent Control Board and others.
If you are interested in serving, please forward to me a letter that outlines your intentions and some brief background material. As vacancies occur, I will try to accommodate those who are interested in committing to a board.
I began this practice many years ago and it has been helpful in recruiting talented residents to our local government.
