On Thursday, March 10, hundreds of students, residents, teachers, and administrators packed the Hoboken High School Gymnasium for a fun-filled basketball game between “The Rockin’ Redwings” – a team made up of teachers, students, and city residents – and the Harlem Wizards, an entertainment style basketball team whose high-flying dunks and trick shots wowed the crowd. The money event served as a fundraiser for the different classes at Hoboken High School.
“We’re happy to have such a great turnout despite the weather,” said Mrs. Burrell, a teacher at Hoboken High School.
The heavy rains didn’t keep the crowd away. But in the scripted game, the Wizards were able to defeat the home squad.
