ROTTINO, JAMES

A funeral mass was offered Feb. 25 at St. Paul of the Cross RC Church for James Rottino, 95. He passed away Feb. 20. He was a machine operator for Maxwell House and Kraft Foods of Hoboken for 25 years, retiring 30 years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, attaining the rank of Tech Sgt., where he worked as a Surgical Technician. James was part of the opening of the 1st general American overseas hospital in England in 1942 and a member of the 207th-30th General Hospital Veterans’ Assoc. He participated in the northern France and Rhineland campaigns. James is survived by his nephews, John Bucco, Anthony Bucco, Lou Rossi and Anthony Gonzales; his niece Lorraine Drennan; and friends Marguerite Schwartz and Anna Valencia. He was predeceased by his brothers, Anthony and George; his sisters, Connie Gonzales, Rose Bucco, Anna Rossi and Mildred Rottino. Services arranged by the Fallon Funeral Home, Jersey City.
