JERSEY CITY AND BEYOND — Independent filmmaker and Jersey City resident John Trigonis, 33, will be screening his short film, Cerise, at the Palace Theatre in Danbury, CT on Feb. 27. According to the NewsTimes, Trigonis raised much of his $16,000 budget on indiegogo.com, a website for creative people who need donations for their projects. Cerise is billed as a “dramedy” about a spelling champion who came in second in a national spelling bee as a child and is forever haunted by the word that stumped him.
