A memorial service was held Feb. 12 at Monumental Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Cheryl R. Hayes. She passed away Feb. 4 surrounded by her family at Hackensack University Medical Center. She was born in Jersey City to Delores and the late Elijah Hayes. She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters: Chanel, Chante and Chazmin Hayes; three grandchildren, Robert Neal IV, Jah Quill Powell, and Chaniya Hayes; two sisters, Meryl Hayes and Jonita Carter; three brothers, Jeryl Hayes, Jon Carter, and Darnell Hayes; and was predeceased by one brother, Darryl Hayes. She was the niece of Hazel Oliver, Vivian and husband Bobby Strong, Gloria Lynch, and Karen Andrews, and was predeceased by two aunts and two uncles; a very friend to Gregory Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
