Event at W Hoboken will aid local charities and Haiti

Party With Purpose invites one and all to a special, upscale evening, “Helping at Home & in Haiti,” on Thursday, Feb. 24 from 7- 10 p.m. at The Chandelier Room in the W Hoboken to celebrate the 8th anniversary of the group, which supports charitable causes at home and continues to raise money for Haitian earthquake relief.
“It has been one year since the devastating earthquake in Haiti and they desperately still need our help,” the group said in a statement announcing the party. “Today there are more than one million displaced people still living under tents, and due to lack of clean water and sanitation the cholera outbreak has now hit all 10 Haitian provinces. Our aid is vital as the reconstruction effort has barely begun.”
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to charitable local causes as well as to Partners In Health through Party With Purpose.
“This is going to be an event you will not want to miss,” the announcement said. “The Chandelier Room is a premier venue with beautiful New York City views and a hip crowd. Join us for music by the talented Jazz band, The Claire Daly Trio and DJ B.Mills. Passed hors d’oeuvres will be provided by the award-winning Zylo Steakhouse and drinks will be flowing to make the evening festive. To top off the special evening several celebrity guests will soon be announced.”
Pre-sale tickets are available for $75 from www.partywithpurpose.org/winterbenefit2011.
