BREAKING: Christie proposes spending $584M on new schools in WNY, JC, more

HUDSON COUNTY — Gov. Christopher Christie recommended on Tuesday that the state spend $584 million to build and/or renovate 10 schools in the state, according to the Associated Press.
The news comes three years after several plans to build schools with state funding were stalled or scrapped due to fiscal mismanagement during the administration of former Gov. Jon Corzine.
Now, some New Jersey towns, mainly urban, will get a new chance to provide a better learning environment.
In Hudson County, projects are proposed for Jersey City, West New York.
