PERKINS, JAMES

A funeral mass took place Feb. 8 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for James Perkins, 87. He passed away Feb. 3. James was born in Jersey City and lived the last 50 years in the Marion Section. James was a truck driver for 31 years with Teamsters Local 641 for Ball Glass in Carteret. James served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel 50 Plus Club. James loved dogs and enjoyed playing the lottery and visiting Atlantic City. He recently had a wonderful time with his family at his 87th birthday this past December. James was the husband of 57 years of Rosalie; father of Rosalind and Joseph Castagna, James Perkins and Mary Jean Perkins, Thomas and Lucretia Perkins; grandfather of Lauren, Joseph and Anthony Castagna, Tommy, Marissa and Joseph Perkins; brother of Lillian Mattey, John Perkins, Joseph Perkins, Helen Belowski, Pat Feliciano, June Perkins and the late Florence Jodzio; brother-in-law of Raymond Dispoto, Dolly Dispoto, Emil Mattey; and also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Riotto Funeral Home, Jersey City.
