Thanks to those who gave

Dear Editor:
On behalf of Mayor Gonnelli and the Town Council, the Department of Social Services would like to thank everyone who donated groceries or money to the Secaucus Emergency Food Pantry for Thanksgiving: the parents, students and teachers at Clarendon School; Brownie Troop 2251; the parishioners of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church; the Knights of Columbus, the parents and students of the CCD classes and parishioners of Immaculate Conception Church; Secaucus Fire Department Engine Co. 1; AXA Equitable; and Capital One Bank. To the many local residents who were generous beyond words, we thank you: J & J Frizone; C. Camporeale; D & M Stone; Hannah; D Altieri; Delveskova; F Scardino; J Dornan; and H Buczek.
A special thank you to the following: St. Matthew’s parishioners, St. Matthew’s YES group, and the Tarantino and Lozano families for each supplying a family with a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner; Wendy’s Restaurant for their donation of turkeys; and the Kiwanis Club for their donation of turkeys, snacks and money to help feed our families.
The workers of King’s Kitchen, who prepared the beautiful holiday meal that was delivered to our senior shut-in residents, deserve a resounding thank you.
Each year, Secaucus residents give from their hearts, and extend charity to those who are less fortunate. We thank you for your kindness and generosity.
