UNION CITY — Union City will begin the second phase of roadway improvements April on Marginal Highway, this time between 30th and 31st streets between Kennedy Boulevard and New York Avenue, with another $500,000 grant bestowed upon the city by The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Roadway improvements, which will involve street paving, new sidewalks, new curbs, and tree planting, are expected to be finished by summer.
The previous grant was awarded to the city by The Port Authority for roadway improvements on Marginal Highway between Pleasant and New York avenues, which were completed last spring, according to city spokesman Mark Albiez.
