A funeral mass was held Jan. 6 at St. Cecelia’s R.C. Church, Iselin, for Joseph J. Binetti, 88. He died Jan. 2 at Jersey City Medical Center surrounded by his family. Born in Hoboken, he lived in Jersey City before moving to Iselin in 2005. He was a longshoreman for NY Shipping Assoc. in Hoboken for 28 years. After retiring from being a longshoreman he worked in the maintenance department for the Hudson County Administration Building in Jersey City before his retirement in 1988. He was a parishioner of St. Cecelia’s Church, Iselin. He was predeceased by his wife, Connie in 2006; brothers, William, John and Julius Binetti; and his sister, Anna Claudio. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Patrick Infante, Sr. of Colonia; and sister, Antoinette Finizio of Paramus. Joseph is also survived by two grandchildren, Patrick Jr. and his wife, Kristine Infante and Matthew Infante. Services arranged by the Gosselin Funeral Home, Inc., Edison.
