JERSEY CITY — The city’s Office of Emergency Management put out an alert on Tuesday requesting residents to remove their cars from the following major thoroughfares to allow for easier snow removal:
West Side Avenue – Broadway to Danforth Avenue
Palisade Avenue – State Highway 139 to City Line
Bergen Avenue – Academy Street to Communipaw Avenue
Danforth Avenue – Princeton Avenue to West Side Avenue
Broadway – Tonnele Avenue to Route 440
Martin Luther King Drive – Communipaw Avenue to McAdoo Avenue
Manhattan Avenue – Route 1/9 to Central Avenue
Montgomery Street – West Side Avenue to the Hudson River
Newark Avenue – Route 1/9 to Marin Blvd.
Communipaw Avenue – Route 440 to Bergen Avenue
Sip Avenue – JFK Blvd./Sip Avenue to Summit Avenue
And the Journal Square area from JFK Blvd. Bergen Avenue south to Montgomery Street –
LOCATIONS 1 THRU 12 ARE SCHEDULED FOR CLEANING BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7PM TUESDAY TO 7AM WEDNESDAY HOWEVER THE REMAINING SEVEN LOCATIONS MAY ALSO BE CLEANED, TIME PERMITTING.
Those locations are:
13. CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS DRIVE: CENTER ST TO THE HUDSON RIVER
14. OCEAN AVENUE: BRAMHALL AVE TO MERRITT STREET
15. GROVE ST: NEWARK AVE TO GRAND ST
16. CENTRAL AVE: STATE HIGHWAY (139) NORTH TO CITY LINE
17. SUMMIT AVE: MANHATTAN AVE NORTH TO SECAUCUS ROAD
18. BALDWIN AVE: MONTGOMERY ST TO BEACON AVE
19. JERSEY AVE: GRAND ST TO 8TH ST
