A funeral service took place Dec. 13 at Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church in Jersey City for Frances Palestis, 86. She passed away Dec. 9. She was born in New York City and lived most of her life in Union City where she was a homemaker. Frances was an active member of Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church in Jersey City. She was the wife of the late Ernest Palestis. She was the mother of; Ernest Palestis and his wife Monica, Christine Palestis and Gregory Palestis and his wife Fidilina. She was also the grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 6. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
