To the Editor:
Many thanks due to Matt at the Signal Division at City Hall for installing numbers signifying the amount of seconds we have to either cross the streets or hit red lights when we drive! Not only does this save lives and injuries on pedestrians’ behalf, but it prolongs the life of everyone’s brake systems, as well. This system should be expanded to as many traffic signals as possible.
Conversely, Avenue C in the 40s remains, sadly enough, a real menace to our car alignments when traveling northbound. Perhaps the exploration of complete repavement is of merit.
