Dear Editor:
I am writing to offer my gratitude to the countless volunteers who assisted the Brian P. Stack Civic Association with the delivery of over 16,000 free turkeys to local residents on the weekend before Thanksgiving. This was truly a community effort that helped numerous families throughout Hudson County who were in need of a turkey for the holiday.
Each Thanksgiving, it is our goal to provide more turkeys than the previous year. With the generosity and help of many, that objective was achieved. This year’s turkey drive was especially important to the community, as it was evident that the current economic circumstance created a request for more turkeys than in past years.
In closing, I would like to wish residents a happy and peaceful holiday season.
