Jeff Tompkins is a Hoboken “born and bred” native, he was educated in the Catholic Grade School system in town. Although he does not currently reside in Hoboken, he is tethered to his roots there, and will always maintain a keen interest in local happenings and the ongoing, fascinating evolution of “My Hometown”….

He has recently had the opportunity to visit Dubai in the U.A.E…. and a copy of “The Reporter” managed to make the trip with him. Behind him is the impressive, expanding Dubai Skyline…. including the “Emirates Towers” and of course, the recently completed, iconic spire that is the Burj Kalifa… currently the Worlds tallest man-made structure.
