HOBOKEN — On Tuesday, Nov. 23, Dr. Mark Toback, who is the final candidate for the superintendent of schools position in Hoboken, and the Board of Education have scheduled a meet and greet at Hoboken High School at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The Board of Education will also hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Board Meeting Room, located at 1115 Clinton St. On the agenda is the appointment of Toback as the superintendent, pending the approval of the proposed contract by the Executive County Superintendent of Schools, according to a memo from Interim Superintendent Peter Carter. Also on the agenda is the extension of Carter’s contract to “provide both a smooth transition period as well as the legal notice period of Dr. Toback to his current school district.”
Toback is listed as the Chief School Administrator in the Sussex County Vocational School District on a state website.
