NORTH BERGEN AND BEYOND – North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue Director Michael De Orio confirmed this morning that the department removed a woman’s body from the Hudson River near 74th Street and River Road.
He said that the woman might be a college student who may have jumped off the George Washington Bridge three days ago. According to published reports, Port Authority police are searching for a missing female.
North Bergen Police confirmed the incident and said they were a part of the investigation, but could not release any information since the identification hasn’t been made, nor has a family been notified.
The Port Authority Police of New York and New Jersey are heading the investigation. – Tricia Tirella
