Hoboken’s Novel Night dining event returns October 16

Reservations are now being taken for Novel Night, Volume Three, a literary dining event to benefit the Hoboken Public Library. Novel Night this year will take place on Saturday, Oct. 16.
Tickets are $100 per person and are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Guests at Novel Night, Volume Three, have a choice of 20 dinners offered by local hosts, with each dinner featuring a menu inspired by a book selected by the host. The evening will conclude at the Hoboken Public Library with coffee and desserts donated by local bakeries, including Sweet and Carlo’s Bakery.
Book selections this year offer a wide range of culinary choices; titles include From Russia with Love; My Life in France; Animal, Vegetable, Miracle; Too Many Tamales and 16 more. Further information about reservations can be requested by phone at (201) 795-5410 or e-mail at novelnight@gmail.com.
The Friends of the Hoboken Public Library, sponsors of this fundraiser, organized the first Novel Night in 2007. The event has generated tremendous support from the community. In addition to the generous hosts and the close to 200 diners who attend each year, a number of local businesses have contributed financial and/or in-kind support to Novel Night.
Proceeds from previous Novel Nights have helped fund the preservation of precious and fragile historical documents housed at the Hoboken Public Library.
