HOBOKEN – The death of 64-year old Ellen Simon in her Clinton Street apartment last week has been ruled a suicide, according to officials.
A report on NJ.com quoted Hudson County Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor Debra Simon as saying the body was found by a worker who went to the apartment to do scheduled maintenance work, and it is unknown how long Simon had been dead. Officials are continuing to investigate who owns the 12 gauge shotgun found at the scene and whether Simon was alone when she died.
The assistant prosecutor was quoted as saying Simon had been suffering from a terminal illness.
