James J. Miller, Jr. was installed as the 96th President of the Rotary Club of Jersey City. In the Club’s annual Changing of the Guard luncheon in June, Jim explained that his focus in the coming year would be to increase the Club’s membership, the performance service projects on behalf of the community and the planning of fund-raising events to finance those projects. Noting that the Club will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its founding in 2016, Jim said that he would strive to increase its membership to at least 100 people by the time of that anniversary celebration. The Jersey City Rotary Club meetings every Thursday at Noon at the Casino in Lincoln Park. He thanked in particular Corrado Vasquez, the Club’s past immediate President who has agreed to promote social affairs with the realization that social interaction among members leads to a greater willingness to participate in the Club’s meetings and service projects. Jim is a Vice President and Director of Government Affairs at Liberty Federal Credit Union in Jersey City.
