A Hoboken resident calls for consistency in parking rules

Dear Editor:
The Hoboken Parking Utility again is playing games. They continue to make parking as difficult as possible with their NEW MUNI parking machines. ALSO, they change the parking rules at will. The white lines were placed at the areas where you could legally park! First, it was 25 feet, then 20 feet, then back to 25 feet. Handicapped parking rules also are constantly changing, WITH NO PRIOR NOTICES. Eastside, Westside, and side streets ALL have different rules. The state should look into how this department is run. It seems that when a new person is placed in charge, ALL the rules change. IF YOU WANT TO MAKE MONEY, make Bloomfield and Garden streets RESIDENT ONLY! BOTH SIDES. Then you could make an extra 200.00, per car with your booting devices. This is the only town in NJ with these ridiculous regulations! If you think you need all these rules, then maybe you should print a handbook for parking in Hoboken! LET’S GET IT STRIGHT!!! I have been a resident for over 50 years, and have NEVER seen this city so screwed up.
