UNION CITY — Many of those who live there are already aware of the hidden gems that lie within the community of Union City, but this weekend out-of-towners far and wide may be let in on the secret.
The city is featured in Friday’s issue of the Wall Street Journal, in a story that tells the tale of the Cuban Diaspora in the city and lauds the diverse community for its culinary and artistic fare.
The article comes at a time when many residents are hoping that Union City will be put on the map as a cultural hub through the efforts of its ever-growing artists community.
On Friday evening the city is hosting its first ever world premiere, red carpet event for the film “Vampire in Union City” which is scheduled to take place at 8 p.m. at the Summit Theatre as part of the “Celebrate Art Month” festivities.
