To the Editor:
The Port Authority will have the Tear Drop Monument removed. This is an affront to the martyrs whose names are enshrined on the Tear Drop Monument. They deserve better.
There also several hundred plaques in the grounds surrounding the monument. These were placed there in memory of loved ones. I have one in memory of my son Alby, who was killed 34 years ago.
What is going to be done regarding all these plaques? Is the Port Authority going to be responsible for moving the monument, and also the surrounding plaques?
This is a special place where you can sit in a serene sitting and meditate.
