Funeral services were held Aug. 13 for Milton Jimenez, 79. He died Aug. 7 at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin. Born in Jersey City, he resided there and in Bayonne and Little Egg Harbor. Mr. Jimenez retired in 1991 after serving 29 years as a police officer with the Jersey City Police Department at the West District. He was a member of the Jersey City Police Officers Benevolent Association. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War; and belonged to American Legion Post 493, Little Egg Harbor. Mr. Jimenez was predeceased by his first wife of 35 years, Carol O’Keefe Jimenez, in 1991; and his second wife of seven years, Melinda Lally Jimenez, this past March. Surviving are two daughters, Karen Brown and her husband, William, of Old Bridge and Dianne Marchie and her husband, Joseph, of Phillipsburg; a son, Steven Jimenez and his wife, Maria Raquel, of Port Reading; a sister, Hilda Lepore and her husband, Guy, of Edgewater, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Thomas, Tiffany and Ashley Nevins, Christa and Michael Brown, Jeanette and Alex Jimenez and Brittany Marchie; and a great-grandson.
