DAVIS, THELMA LOUISE

A funeral was held Aug. 6 at Monumental Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Thelma Louise Davis, 77, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. She passed away July 29 at The Fountains at the Manor in Secaucus. Thelma’s legacy in life was dedicated to and for her family. Thelma was affectionately known by all as “Tuna.” She was formerly employed by Gimbel’s Manufacturing for eight years. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband William E. Davis; her children, Ruthena Kirkland (Walter Sr.), George Williams (Deloris), Jerome Williams, Michael Williams (Debbie), Walter Davis (Janice) and Doris Davis; grandchildren, Walter, Kendall, Scott, Rodney and Gerard Kirkland; Jerome, Shakeema and Sabrina Sherman; Lamont and Michael Williams and Isaiah Davis; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings Reginald, Joseph and Walter (Clartha) Webb; Theresa Ferguson, Mary Webb-Miller, Margaret Webb-Nixon and LaVern Webb-Washington; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Lemar and Mary Webb and siblings, Sarah Murphy, Robert, Lemar, Charles and Richard Webb and Martha Webb-Herring. Services arranged by the Jackson Funeral Residence, Jersey City.
