Dear Editor:
I want to take this opportunity to spotlight our residents’ magnificent experience with National Night out! A commendation is in order for our community policing officers and its Commanders: Chief Falco, Lt Ken Ferrante, Sgt. Marnell, and Sgt. Gigante! The following officers were exceptional in their organizing, outreach and interaction with residents:
James Barbo, Willie Oquendo, Anthony Feskin, William James, Joe Cahill, Jason Falco, and Dan Simone the 3rd! On behalf of my commissioners, we thank the Hoboken Police Dept. For once again hosting it in the Hoboken Housing Authority! Many residents from around the city were there to celebrate our community policing dept.’s effectiveness and progress on the fight against crime!
The event was instrumental in raising awareness and building strong bonds of communication, respect and trust. A special recognition to our fire dept.’s Captain Amarro and his men who performed an eye opening demonstration and Inspector Andrew Frey. Kudos to the many organizations like the U.S. Army, National Guard, Hoboken ambulance corp. and NYNJ Port Authority police as well as, our social services agencies for sharing their resources! Lastly, to my staff Curtis, Oscar, Sammy, Danny, Jimmy! Great job team in helping out! “We’re constantly exposing our children to positive and enriching public safety experiences.”Till next year, we appreciate any night out with the HPD!
