Thank you to all the Hoboken volunteers

Dear Editor:
I want to take a moment and thank all of the members of Hoboken Volunteers for their hard work, dedication, and continued support. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to express our gratitude and appreciation to the residents of Hoboken for allowing our inception year to be successful as we close in on our one year anniversary.
Since our launch in December 2009, hobokenvolunteers.com has had over 2300 unique visitors visit our site in search of volunteer opportunities. I thank you for your time and commitment as we look to strengthen our community through volunteer opportunities.
I would also like to thank our partnered organizations and sponsors for your continued support. A great many people have been volunteering long before HV was born. Your organizations are the backbone of this community. Hoboken Volunteers is committed to working with you as we help promote your organizations and events. You have our deepest respect and gratitude.
We have accomplished quite a bit in our first 9 months. Members of HV have assisted with many different types of projects. We have assisted with toy, blood, book, food and clothing drives. HV helped raise money for Haiti relief and did facility improvement work with Habitat for Humanity and The Jubilee Center. We also worked with Homeless Shelter, planted a community garden, dug holes for trees, volunteered at 5K races, and hosted our inaugural soccer tournament benefiting Hoboken P.A.L/Save the Youth Academy summer basketball program and the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corp.
I am inspired on a daily basis by the spirit of service I see in our volunteer members. We have received letters of gratitude from the organizations we have helped, praising the work that our members have done, I wanted to do the same.
Thank you, Hoboken, for embracing our organization and making our first year so successful.
Give Time. Get Involved. Be Inspired.

All the Best,
Taryn Crosby
Director of Communications Hoboken Volunteers
