CAPRIO, TERESA V

A funeral mass was celebrated July 16 at St. Francis R.C. Church for Teresa V. Caprio, formerly of Hoboken. She passed away peacefully at Meadowlands Hospital in Secaucus on July 13. Teresa was a retired office manager for Adams Sales and Service Plumbing Supply Company, which was family owned and operated. She retired in 1991. Mrs. Caprio was a member of the St. Ann’s Guild since 1973. Teresa was also well known for her custom elaborately made traditional dresses for the Infant of Prague; a commitment that she fulfilled many times over in tribute to the child Jesus. Teresa’s husband Angelo “Maxie” Caprio predeceased her in 1976. Surviving are her daughter, Ann Michele Swineford and her husband Robert; her only son, Angelo A. Caprio, M.D. and his wife Kimberly Ann, M.D; her sister Madeline Saulino; her grandchildren, Jason Swineford, M.D., Lucas Swineford, Angela Yezdanian, Angelo Joseph, John A., Colleen, and Mason Michael Caprio. A special joy in Teresa’s life were her two great-grandchildren, Nate and Lily. She will be sadly missed by a host of special nieces, nephews, and cousins. Teresa was predeceased by a sister Connie Lizza, who she deeply missed, and three brothers, Salvatore, Joseph, and Anthony D’Amielo. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
