On April 18, Madeline Rivera, Cesar Orozco, Qian Xie, her daughter Sitian Zhang, Safia Fridman, Cui Kong, her son Derek Zhou, Michele Thomas, her sons Hakeem and Adam, and Ted Lai of the Beta Alpha Phi Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at Hudson County Community College volunteered at Walk MS at the South Street Seaport in Manhattan.
