Funeral services took place June 24 at New Bethel Baptist Church, Jersey City, for William Griffis. He passed away in New York on June 19. He was the father of Orlando Griffis, Wanda Griffis Manley, Sharon Griffis and Donna Hood-Greaves; the son of Bernice and the late Goldes Griffis; the brother of Mary Griffis-Jackson, Shirley Bumpers and Dorothy Griffis; and the grandfather of four. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Services arranged by the Watson Mortuary Service, Jersey City.
