Cake Boss is appearing live – at the Newark PAC

HOBOKEN AND BEYOND — Local baker Buddy Valastro has taken his show on the road, and he’s gaining quite a following. He’s doing a show at the Performing Arts Center in Newark in November…coincidentally, the same month his book comes out.
What’s next, creating cannolis at Carnegie Hall?
Tickets cost $18 to $42. The press release reads:

America’s favorite baker, Buddy Valastro, returns to Jersey for the final stop on The Bakin’ with the Boss Tour, heading nine miles west of Hoboken to NJPAC’s Prudential Hall stage on November 23, 2010 at 7:30pm.
Tickets, ranging in price from $18 to $42, go on-sale Friday, June 18, 2010 at noon, and may be purchased by telephone at 1-888-GO-NJPAC (1-888-466-5722), at the NJPAC Box Office at One Center Street in downtown Newark, or by visiting the NJPAC website at www.njpac.org.
In this live interactive event, the baker and star of TLC’s “Cake Boss” will share the stories behind his hit TV series and his colorful Italian family, answer audience questions, and give a live demonstration of the techniques that have made him one of the most successful and renowned cake artists in the nation. Buddy will even invite audience members to join the fun on stage. The whole family is invited for a night of “bakin’ with the boss” one will not soon forget.
One of the centerpiece shows of the TLC network, a third season of “Cake Boss” debuted May 31st on TLC. Viewers continue to celebrate the mouthwatering desserts and not-to-be-missed Valastro family moments occurring in bustling Hoboken, NJ, home of Carlo’s Bakery, celebrating it’s 100th anniversary this summer. On November 2nd, Free Press (Simon & Schuster) will publish Buddy’s first book, “Cake Boss: The Stories and Recipes.” In the book, Buddy shares recipes and his familiy’s inspiring, fascinating, and poignant life story.
