HOBOKEN AND BEYOND — Back from the shore and ready to watch someone else baking instead? The third season of the Hoboken-based reality TV show “Cake Boss” premieres tonight. In this season, Buddy Valastro, the owner of Carlo’s Bakery — across the street from City Hall in Hoboken — bakes a life-sized cake that looks like his wife. There’s a picture of them on the TLC blog, along with some good and some bad comments from viewers. (The latter may just be fans of the rival TV show “Ace of Cakes.”)
Here in Hoboken, opinions are mixed too. Some love the show, while others just gripe that the lines have gotten longer at the bakery. Well, watch and let us know what you think!
By the way – Buddy has a book coming out later this year, and is planning a book tour across the country! He made an appearance at the Book Expo of America last Thursday. His book is pictured at left.
