Super Bowl to come to Meadowlands?

HUDSON COUNTY — New Jersey’s economy could reap $275 million if the 2014 Super Bowl is held in the new Meadowlands stadium, according to newspaper reports. The 32 owners in the National Football League are slated to decide Tuesday afternoon where Super Bowl 48 will indeed be held.
Several high-profile owners are backing the local location, just outside of Hudson County in East Rutherford.
The guidelines for the game usually require a temperature of 50 degrees or more and a stadium with a roof — sensible requests for early February. But those requirements were waived for the bid from the New York Jets and the Giants, who both play in the Meadowlands.
Stay tuned, sports fans!
