Funeral mass was offered May 17 at St. Francis R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Diane M. Balesterri, 56, of Garfield, formerly of Hoboken. She passed away peacefully at the Prospect Heights Hospice Center in Hackensack on May 13. Diane was a retired employee of Nynex in New York City for many years. Diane was a resident of Garfield for the last two years. She was born in Hoboken, and lived there most of her life. Surviving are her son Nicholas; her husband Stanley; and her siblings, Mary Anne, Annie, Michael, Francis, and Lawrence. Diane was predeceased by her parents, John and Nina Wallington, and two sisters, Helen and Michelle. Also surviving are one niece; one nephew; and one great nephew, and her very special friend Hector. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
