A landslide victory

Dear Editor:
As expected it was a landslide victory for Mayor & State Senator Brian P. Stack and the Board of Commissioners. In politics and many things in life when you run on your record you expect the backing of the people. In this past Municipal election (May 11, 2010 held in Union City) it was no different. It is amazing that Brian received over ninety percent of the people that came out to vote. I know that for most politician winning two to one is gratifying; but the way Brian and his team won (9 to 1) is something expectacular. Mayor and State Senator Brian P. Stack have totally changed the infrastructure of the entire city. One particular thing that has made Brian so successful is because he surrounds himself with resourceful individuals. First, the reason that the Union City school system is considered a model in Urban Education is because right at very top Superintendent of our schools Stanley M. Sanger spends endless hours making sure the system does not shortcut the children of our Community. For any city to be strong and safe you need a police department that responds to the need of the people and under the leadership of police chief Charles Everett the people of this community live safe and in harmony. The people of Union City are conscientious and will always recognize and give their support to a local government that puts people first.

With respect,
Mark A. Cordero
