HOBOKEN — Referring to it as a “garbage garage,” CBS has run a segment on the controversy surrounding the future placement of Hoboken’s municipal garage. Residents on the west side of town protested last week, saying they want to make sure the city doesn’t move the garage to their neighborhood.
The Hoboken Reporter also has a cover story coming up on the controversy this weekend. In the Reporter story, a source close to the situation says that the site was near the top of the city’s list before recently, but that recently, the city’s interest may have been more of a way to gain leverage in negotiations with other sites.
