HUDSON COUNTY — Hudson County Community College (HCCC) is joining forces with New Jersey City University (NJCU), and the Bayonne Medical Center and Christ Hospital Schools of Nursing to offer students an opportunity to complete associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs in nursing. A signing to memorialize the agreement will take place on Friday, May 21 at 2 p.m. at the Hudson County Community College Culinary Arts Institute/Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City.
The new “Joint Admissions Program” creates a four-year plan for students to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in partnership with NJCU and the hospital-based schools of nursing. Students will begin their studies at Hudson County Community College, where they will be offered admission and financial aid advice as well as counseling that will help ensure a smooth transition to NJCU as fully matriculated students with junior-year standing after they earn their Associate of Science degree. During their studies at HCCC, the students will also have access to NJCU financial-aid and academic counselors.
