JERSEY CITY AND BEYOND — Police and firefighters responded to a three-story building on Palisade Avenue in Jersey City after a 6 a.m. call about a gas leak, according to published reports. They found a gas can wired with an ignition device, reports say.
PSE&G shut off the gas in the building at 451 Palisade Ave.
Jersey City police evacuated the block and the bomb squad was sent in to deal with the situation.
