Funeral services took place May 10 for William T. Ammermann, 81. He passed away May 6 at the Castle Hill Nursing Home. Born in Weehawken he was a retired manager for the APA Trucking Co. in North Bergen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marines, serving in World War II, and belonged to the American Merchant Marine Veterans. He was the husband of May (nee Schubert); father of William T. Ammermann, Karen Leshin and Dana Scuorzo; brother of Jack Smith; and grandfather of 12 grandchildren. Services arranged by the Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.
